Feel Locked In w/ Inferno 72

“This design is not just for top level surfers. The board’s on a level that really enhances and improves your ability to really perfect your maneuvers.”- Marcio Zouvi

Born after the QS favorite the Disco Inferno, popular for small waves because of its unrivaled speed and hope, the Inferno 72 was designed to fill one gap that the Sharpie’s team had identified: Disco Inferno could not turn in a steep section. Well, Inferno 72 came to life and that problem disappeared right then and there.

The board is very sensitive: it has the speed but also it’s very easy to lean on the rail and react shifting direction and maneuvering. - Marcio Zouvi

The Inferno 72 was originally built to compete at “the Rumble at the Ranch” competition in 2020 under the feet of Filipe Toledo, who won the comp. When ask to be part of the Stab in the Dark, Zouvi decided to supply the Inferno 72.

It was no surprise to see the Inferno 72  in Dark Arts construction design being locked on Taj Burrow’s feet after its success under Filipe Toledo, Kanoa Igarashi or Rio Waida’s control.

"It was just stuck to my feet”-Taj Burrow

It is a broad audience surfboard; quite some intermediate surfers have been jumping on this design to perfect their maneuvers and felt I was pretty achievable if compared to other designs, let’s say, more drivey or stiff.

 A Sensitive, Maneyverable & All-Round Design

· Thruster | Best layout for delivering a great performance under most conditions, lending a stable feel to a maneuverable board.

· Skill level |  Designed for intermediate advanced level surfers.

· Usability | Try it on a swell from 2-6 feet in everyday conditions from reef to point breaks and feel it controlled under your feet. No surprises!

· Performance | Tried and tested QS favourite, The Inferno 72 is a tuned up version of the Disco Inferno.

| Added entry and exit rocker
Medium to low rails
More drive and hold through turns than the Disco Inferno
Small to medium waves

No Matter the Conditions, The Spark Will Still Be There

Pukas Surf Shop - Sharpeye Shapes Surfboards

· Bottom Curve | Increased speed from the take off with its medium entry rocker that converts seamlessly into a flattened exit; it will give enough lift to avoid nose diving.

Hold and drive are there because of the medium exit when surfing off the back foot whilst generating speed and the ability to draw out longer lines is easily accesible.

Perfect for everyday conditions.

· Pro Tips | Order the Inferno 72 in the same size as your go-to shortboard. Drop one inch for a step down.
